O Sindicato dos Bancários realizou nesta quinta-feira (11) um ato público para denunciar o fechamento da agência do Banco Santander, da Praça João Lisboa, em São Luís, fechamento previsto para o próximo dia 1º de maio, embora o banco não tenha dado publicidade à população.
De acordo com o diretor do sindicato, Marcelo Bastos, a medida vai prejudicar os bancários e os mais de 14 mil clientes da unidade, entre correntistas e pensionistas, “algo inadmissível para um banco que lucrou mais de R$ 9 bilhões em 2023” – criticou.
Segundo informações preliminares, os funcionários e os usuários da unidade João Lisboa serão transferidos para a agência da Rua da Paz, o que deve trazer mais dificuldades ao serviço prestado, devido ao aumento do fluxo de pessoas, da superlotação, das filas , além do quadro reduzido de bancários, que já sofrem sobrecarga de trabalho, com o que consideram metas abusivas e medo de demissão.
Durante a manifestação, o diretor do SEEB-MA, Rodolfo Cutrim, denunciou ainda o assédio moral praticado por gestores do banco, uma conduta que está levando os empregados ao adoecimento e até à ideação suicida, conforme denúncias.
“O Sindicato levará o caso do fechamento da agência João Lisboa ao Procon por lesar os consumidores e continuará firme na luta por saúde, mais bancários e mais agências do Santander no Maranhão. Por nenhum direito a menos, vamos à luta” – finalizou o presidente Dielson Rodigues.
